Studio Teacher Thanksgiving: Day 3

Welcome to DAY THREE of Studio Teacher Thanksgiving! ๐Ÿฅ‚

First things first...

This is the ONLY time of year I send daily emails. You'll hear from me this week Monday through Friday.

The (6 min) video, above, introduces our third point of gratitude for the week.

Today, we're giving thanks for the people in our Studio Life right now - in this season.

It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking students (and their families) will be in your life forever. It's not the case. Even long-term students WILL eventually move on from your studio roster.

Years ago, I was taking Amy Chaplin's Digital Organization Workshop and when it came time to deal with my backlog of emails, I was surprised what a time capsule my inbox proved to be.

Looking through a decade of email is a great reminder of the people you used to be in frequent communication with. It was startling to see how much had changed over time.

Today, we celebrate the people we get to work with in this season. ๐Ÿฅ‚

Giveaway UPDATE:

Congratulations to Craig Harmann for winning a FREE Studio Foundations Course as part of yesterday's drawing!

Thanks to all who responded to yesterday's prompt. I know it required some deep-thinking! ๐Ÿ˜„

AND NOW: For TODAY'S Giveaway!

This is a good one, friends.

It's important to remember a new planner can't change your life on its own.

...but the right planner + the right routine? There's some great potential in that combination.

I started using Monk Manual a little more than a year ago, and I am officially in love. It's a planner that somehow manages to be streamlined AND detailed all at the same time.

One of their taglines is, "A daily system for being AND doing."

(If you know ANYTHING about me, you know they are speaking my kind of language!).

It's what I use for my daily time-blocking (which I talked about in Episode 157). It also gives me the opportunity to plan and reflect on life in daily, weekly, and monthly segments.

Since I'm a bit of an office-supply snob, I appreciate the quality of the paper and binding.

Basically, I love this planner and consider it my second brain.

...And one of YOU will win a Monk Manual 90-day planner just for replying to today's email before 10:00pm eastern time.

Hit that reply button and tell me who is bringing YOU extra joy in your TeacherLife these days.

(And - if you don't win - stay tuned tomorrow for a discount code for your own Monk Manual purchase).

*This giveaway is not sponsored by Monk Manual. Though I *am* an affiliate for them, I purchased the journal for this giveaway myself.

...that's all for today, Teacher Friends! I'll see you again tomorrow for Day FOUR of Studio Teacher Thanksgiving!
