Tell Me: What are your hang-ups as a teacher?

I'm asking because, as you may know, a new 6-week session of the Studio Foundations Course begins on MONDAY, and if your concerns are something I can help with, I don't want you to miss out!

For what it's worth, I always find myself wishing I could design a course that was akin to, "10 Simple Steps to Becoming a Better Teacher By Friday".

...but that's not a promise anyone can deliver.

The truth of the matter is: For longterm change, we have to reconcile our beliefs and applications of music teaching inside our own heads.

To me, this means more THINKING before DOING.

...but THINKING is not nearly as satisfying, right? There's no immediate result.

I pride myself in creating an ideal balance of instruction, self-reflection, and application in this course.

But let me ask you this. Do you ever:

The Studio Foundations Course begins with Three Questions I ask at the start of every pedagogy course I teach.

From there, we explore 14 principles that serve as tenets for my entire studio approach.

The Fourteen Principles keep me satisfied and effective as a teacher - and help keep studio families content as well.

The Six-Week Session breaks the course down into easy-to-digest portions. New content is released to you each week, for six weeks.
